I have the problem of thinking, on a continual basis, what a great life would be like? And just how you would start to live if you could create it yourself? I wish I had come up with these solutions but I am not that smart, I do know the one who has the answers to all my questions. I have three things that are usually on the forefront of my mind on a daily basis: needs, wants, and desires. The Lord never promises that he would supply all of our wants, but He has made provision for the other two. “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory” (Php 4:19). “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Ps 37:4).

“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Ps 37:4).

You might say “ok, how is this accomplished? What do I have to do? Is this only pie-in-the sky? These are all good questions and the key is found once again in the Word, and you have all heard this word over and over again. Our life is the sum total of our habits. Ask yourself today what habits bring fullness into your life and what habits take away from your life? How did you start your week this morning? Were you running late or did you give yourself plenty of time. Did you make provision for God’s fullness or did you take the weekend and spend it totally on yourself without a thought for tomorrow. Here are some wise words, “do not forsake the assembling of yourself together, as some are in the HABIT (caps mine) of doing, but let’s encourage one another-even more so as we see the day approaching” (Heb 10:25). I know that everybody can build great habits but it takes one secret ingredient; good habits. How are yours? Are they positive or negative, bring you wealth or move you towards poverty? The Lord is with you even now. Allow Him to become part of your week and listen to His sweet, still small voice. He has a miracle for you, but the foundation is laid up in the habits that you develop.
Well, I do know that this is easier said than done, but the truth is the truth regardless of my opinions, and for that I am grateful.
We are blessed
